A vehicle painter will prepare surfaces of vehicles, match and mix colors and apply paint
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years work experience
- At least a graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- With experience in Bus Company is plus factor
- Extensive experience in applying 3 coat systems – epoxy, zincs, urethane topcoats
- Able to do blasting to class 2.5 or 3 utilizing garnet
- Can use spray painting conventional and airless
- Knowledgeable in mixing of colors/paint
Job Description:
- Removing rough spots on vehicle panels
- Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders
- Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper
- Colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint
- Applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and m sanding surfaces between coats
- Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles
