Job Destination: Papua New Guinea
Generally, auto-electrician’s duty requires installation, repair wiring, diagnose and maintenance of all electrical components found in different vehicles. This position requires, planning, monitoring/supervision and taking lead in all auto-electrical needs for all vehicles owned by the company.
1. Qualification/Education Requirement
- College Degree or Diploma as minimum
- Trade certificate
2. Experience
- More than 5 years hands on experience
3. Knowledge
- Knowledgeable in repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
- Knowledgeable in computer and must be able to work under minimal supervision
- Should have extensive knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems, have a good eye for detail, and be able to problem-solve complex electrical problems.
4. Role Expectations/Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair various kinds of automotive (cars/vehicles/trucks) wiring Systems
- Installing new vehicle wiring/electrical systems.
- Installing and troubleshooting immobilizer and alarm systems.
- Diagnosing electrical issues and proposing a course of action.
- Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems.
- Servicing of electrical automotive parts.
- Undertake electrical repairs on various vehicles and plant and other electrical components.
- Order for Electrical parts and equipment as necessary when required
- Identify repairs required via unfair wear and tear, and advice the management for possible repair or replacement.
- Liaise with agents and manufacturers on complex problems in order to achieve an efficient repair when needed.
- Completing job reports and processing paperwork for day to day.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor/management.
