- Aquarists are responsible for the care of aquatic life in aquariums, tanks, and other water-filled habitats.
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment such as netting, thermometers, test kits, and medications
- Maintaining aquarium environments by performing regular maintenance and repairs of equipment such as filters and heaters
