Job Description:
• A School Nurse is a professional who is there to make sure that every student has access to mental and
physical health services throughout the day.
• They work with teachers and parents or guardians on behalf of their patients in order to create care
• Assessment of health complaints, medication administration, and care for students with special health
care needs; A system for managing emergencies and urgent situations;
• Mandated health screening programs, verification of immunizations, and infectious disease reporting;
and Identification and management of students’ chronic health care needs that affect educational
achievement.
